Initiatives

The BWPC is committed to various ongoing projects including the #ElevateTheNext, Grass, Mini-Pitch Initiative & The Game Needs Her. At their core, all BWPC ventures aim to provide more physical spaces for communities nationwide to participate in soccer, and the mentorship it requires to excel both on and off the field.

Ongoing Works

With our Mini-Pitch Initiative, we’ve started laying foundation for Black girls across the country to have a place to play the game. We believe that championing women and girls in sports requires access and we are proud to lead the charge. To enhance access, The Game Needs Her features Black professional female athletes in the United States in a short form, narrative, episodic docu-series that takes an intimate look at what it means to be a Black female professional athlete.

The Mini-Pitch Initiative

Access is everything. Creating safe and equitable spaces for Black girls to have fun, work hard, and practice their craft is a major part of what we are here to do. That’s why we started The Mini-Pitch Initiative.

Elevate The Next

Elevate The Next

Our Elevate The Next Clinic is a soccer clinic run by BWPC to introduce, inspire and Elevate the Next generation of soccer players.

During the clinics BWPC teaches participants foundational soccer skills, gives applicable soccer advice and introduces youth to creative habits that help mentally, physically and emotionally beyond the pitch.

Grass

Grass is a program of BWPC that represents getting back to grassroots play and education through the lens of soccer.

This program features members of BWPC attending schools, hospitals, public facilities to meet and inspire youth to live out their dreams both sport and personal.

The Game Needs Her

A short form, narrative, episodic docu-series that takes an intimate look at the experiences of Black professional female athletes in the United States. Coming Soon.
