Jasmyne Spencer
Forward Jasmyne Spencer was selected by Angel City in the third round of the 2022 NWSL Expansion Draft from the Houston Dash, where she appeared in 18 matches and scored one goal during the 2021 season. Spencer has played for three different teams in the Australian W-League: Melbourne City FC (2018–19), Canberra United (2016–17), and Sydney FC (2014–16), where she was named Players’ Player of the Year by teammates in 2014. She graduated from Maryland in 2011 with two first-team All-ACC honors and 20 goals.
Ifeoma Onumonu
The Nigerian International and forward for Utah Royals FC, Ifeoma Onumonu, was born in Rancho Cucamonga, California and played for four years collegiately at the University of California-Berkeley. Onumonu has since enjoyed six seasons in the NWSL, most recently with NY/NJ Gotham FC where she spent her previous three seasons, during which she was named to the NWSL Best XI second team. After appearing for the U.S. Women’s National Team at the U-23 level, Onumonu was called up to the Nigerian National Team for the first time in 2021.
Imani Dorsey
Originally hailing from Elkridge, MD, the Utah Royals FC Defender Imani Dorsey started her professional career as the no. 5 overall pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft. Playing for Duke University from 2014-17, she was named 2017 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, the second player in school history to earn the honor. Shortly thereafter, Dorsey was selected for the 2018 Women’s U-23 Nordic Tournament and Dorsey was drafted by Sky Blue FC. In 2022, Dorsey was voted the winner of the U.S. Soccer’s first One Nation and received the Social Impact Award for her work with the Black Women’s Player Collective (BWPC).
Crystal Dunn
In her home state of New York as NJ/NY Gotham FC Defender, Crystal Dunn is embarking on her 10th professional season. As a U.S. Women’s National Team player, World Cup Champion, two-time Olympian, three-time NWSL champion, three-time NWSL Shield winner, and NWSL MVP, Dunn was nominated for 2023 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year. Selected as the first overall pick in the 2014 NWSL Draft by the Washington Spirit, Dunn played collegiately for the storied University of North Carolina, where she helped the Tarheels capture their 21st NCAA National Championship in school history. In addition, Dunn was awarded the MAC Hermann Trophy as the top player in college soccer in the country for her junior season, as well as earning All-American honors.
Margaret Purce
NJ/NY Gotham FC Forward Margaret “Midge” Purce was named the 2023 NWSL Final MVP for her two-assist performance in the championship game. In 2021, Purce was named to the NWSL Best XI, was an MVP Finalist and tied for second in the NWSL with nine goals. As the no.9 overall pick to the Boston Breakers in the 2017 NWSL college draft, Purce graduated from Harvard University, where she played 69 matches, starting in 63 of them. She ended her collegiate career as third all-time scorer in school history and was two-time Ivy League Player of the Year. She was named to the 2016 All-America First Team, 2016 MAC Hermann semifinalist, 2015 NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team, All-Ivy League first team four times, 2013 Ivy League Rookie of the Year (First rookie to be awarded POTY in league history) and NSCAA/Continental Tire Women’s All-American Third Team.
Jamia Fields
Originally from Alta Loma, CA, Forward Jamia Fields was drafted to the Boston Breakers in the NWSL College Draft as the no.14 pick following her attendance at Florida State University where she played all four years and secured a Second Team All-ACC honors as well as ACC and College Cup All-Tournament honors in 2014. She then played for Western New York Flash, Orlando Pride and Houston Dash of the NWSL and Arna-Bjørnar and Avaldsnes IL of Toppserien, the top-tier women’s soccer league of Norway
