Black Women’s
Player Collective
We understand that when we play the game the world watches, and by changing the game for Black women and girls, we can change the world. As the Black Women’s Player Collective (BWPC), we are over 50 professional athletes who have each played the game our entire lives and have witnessed the inequity that persists throughout. By sharing our personal experiences and expertise, we are aiming to change the game for girls who look like us. #TheGameNeedsHer
Ways To Get Involved
As members of the National Women’s Soccer League, we are in a unique position to make a difference. We can change the way Black girls of today and tomorrow play the game, and we are able to do so because of the support from our community. Through our collective power, perspectives, and platforms, we will shift the narrative and demand equity in a sport that was intended for all. If you are interested in sponsoring a player, becoming a mentor, or signing up your team, reach out. Whether you can offer your time, your resources, or your story, we’d love to see you on the pitch.
Events
Throughout the year, the BWPC initiates various events and collaborations alongside ongoing projects designed to engage our community and celebrate our shared progress.
